| Johnny Depp was born on 9th June 1963 in Kentucky, USA. He made his film debut in 1984 by appearing in Nightmare on Elm Street. Depp then went on to star in the popular TV series, 21 Jump Street which shot him to fame. He is a regular star in films directed by Tim Burton, a collaboration which began with Edward Scissorhands in 1990, and continued with Ed Wood, Sleepy Hollow, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the Corpse Bride, released in September 2005.
